MMSA, a Moroccan leader in engineering for desalination and wastewater treatment, has taken a significant step forward in fulfilling its commitment to water security by achieving two projects the Wave 2 West and Wave 2 East Desalination Project. This development is part of the Priority Drinking Water Supply and Irrigation Program 2020-2027 (PNAEPI), which aims to address the nation’s pressing water challenges.

Located at the Jorf OCP complex, the new plants has production capacity of 240,000 m³/day and 60,000 m³/day potable water respectively.

This milestone comes at a critical time as Morocco faces its most severe drought in years. The urgency to enhance water delivery systems and ensure sustainable solutions has never been greater. MMSA’s efforts to deliver the project on a fast-track timeline demonstrate the company’s dedication to addressing the nation’s water needs.

An equally commendable aspect of this achievement is the company’s unwavering commitment to safety. The project has been completed with zero accidents, underscoring MMSA’s strong safety culture and its focus on protecting workers and the environment.

As a key player in Morocco’s national water ecosystem, MMSA continues to empower local initiatives and lead advancements in desalination and wastewater treatment technologies. This latest milestone reflects its broader commitment to sustainable development and resilience in the face of climate challenges.

With the Wave 2 West and Wave 2 East Desalination Projects, MMSA is not only contributing to the nation’s water security but also reaffirming its position as a pioneer in the engineering sector, driving innovation and sustainability.
