SAFI Desalination Plants

We’ve successfully completed 2 Desalination Units in Safi, generating 130,000m3/d to benefit both OCP and Safi City residents.

• Desal 1, with 14 trains of 5’000m3/d each, utilizes pretreatment and reverse osmosis to supply 70,000m3/d of raw water for the OCP Chemical Complex.
• Desal 2, equipped with 12 trains of 5’000m3 per day each, employs pre-treatment, reverse osmosis, and post-treatment to provide a capacity of 6’000m3 per day for the residents of Safi City.

Both plants were completed in under 1 year and have been producing desalinated water since Q2’23.
