SAFI Desalination Plants

We’ve successfully completed two Desalination Units in Safi, generating 130,000m3/d to benefit both OCP water process and Safi City residents potable water.

• Desal 1, with 14 trains of 5’000m3/d each, utilizes pretreatment and reverse osmosis to supply 70,000m3/d of raw water for the OCP Chemical Complex.
• Desal 2, equipped with 12 trains of 5’000m3/d per hour each, employs pre-treatment, reverse osmosis, and post-treatment to provide a capacity of 60’000m3 per day for the residents of Safi City.

Both plants were completed in one year and have been producing desalinated water since August 2023.
